Ken Pullar, CEO of The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals [CIPP], has won the Knowledge & Professional Services Leader award at The Reward 300 Awards, 2022.
Held annually, The Reward 300 Awards recognise members of the pay and reward profession who have gone above and beyond over the previous year.
Alongside the Knowledge & Professional Services Leader award, accolades were handed out to leaders in six other categories this year, including Payroll, Reward, HR, Employee Benefits, Employment Law, and Pensions.
Ken Pullar’s triumph was confirmed at this year’s The Rewards 300 ceremony, held at London’s Chelsea Harbour Hotel on June 8. Unable to attend the showpiece himself, his award was instead accepted on his behalf by his colleague, Business Development Director, Vickie Graham [pictured].
Formerly known as the Institute of Payroll Professionals [IPP], CIPP provides training, guidance and support to payroll staff. The long-serving Pullar has sat on CIPP’s board since 2002. He was appointed vice-chair in 2006, sat as chair from November 2007 to November 2009, and later became CEO in 2016.
Pullar played a key role in helping his organisation secure its chartered status by putting the appropriate framework in place, as well as helping guide it to awards victories including “Major Outsourcer of the Year” in 2007 and 2008, and the inaugural Payroll World “Outsourcer of the Year” accolade in 2011.
In a statement following the result, CIPP said: “We're extremely proud to announce that our CEO, Ken Pullar, was recognised at The Reward 300 Awards with a special recognition award for Knowledge & Professional Services Leader.
“Ken has been CEO of the CIPP since 2016 and his career spans over 30 years within the international payroll sector, working for the likes of Capita, BPO, ADP, Rebus and Shell.
“Congratulations from all of us, Ken, and thank you for being such an inspiration to us all.”
