Opus Land and Fiera Real Estate UK [FRE UK] have recently announced that their ESG-exemplar scheme in Wolverhampton has reached Practical Completion.
Construction of the scheme began in summer 2021, shortly after Cadent Gas Ltd instructed Opus Land and FRE UK to develop a bespoke regional HQ facility on their behalf.
The new facility boasts 25,000 square feet of Grade A office space and a 5,300 square foot warehouse, targeting a BREEAM Excellent and EPC A rating. The sustainable development also includes roof-mounted solar panels, rainwater harvesting and EV charging points to encourage electric vehicle use.
The high-spec office space will offer the use of 150 workstations, along with meeting room and welfare facilities, all serviced by VRF heating and cooling systems, as well as LED lighting.
Cadent Gas Ltd has signed a 20-year FRI lease for the site, which will soon see hundreds of staff from two existing functions around the West Midlands relocate to it.
This is the second scheme that Opus Land has undertaken on behalf of Cadent in the past year. Alongside Edinburgh-based property developer, Manse LLP, Opus Land developed a bespoke 90,000 square foot facility at Rugby’s business hub, Prospero Ansty Park, which welcomed almost 1,000 Cadent employees earlier in 2022.
