Global public health and safety organisation NSF International has announced that its Associate Director of Global Supplier Assurance, Kim Onett, will lead a special session at this year’s Global Food Safety Initiative [GFSI] Conference.
Onett’s presentation will take place at 17:15 GMT on March 24, 2021 and will address topics such as food auditor development and the selection of performance metrics which drive consistency across the whole supply chain.
During the conference, NSF International will also be hosting a virtual booth to showcase its services to the food industry. The firm is already a world leader in certification, testing, auditing and regulatory compliance to support food safety worldwide.
Onett commented: “To realise the expected improvement in auditor performance, certification bodies must examine their current monitoring methods and measures for all technical roles involved in the certification audit delivery process. I am looking forward to a lively discussion regarding the future of our industry and what is next for food auditing.”
The presentation will also look to highlight the need for continuous improvement to audit services through innovation, hiring, training and calibration, as well as offering an insight into current auditor performance measures and how they should be reviewed to assess soft skills.
