Hardy Signs partners Generation Next

Midland-based signage experts Hardy Signs have partnered up with Generation Next, an organisation run by the East Midlands Chamber that aims to support young professionals and the next generation of business leaders.

Hardy Signs will be one of six partners of the network, alongside GBS Apprenticeships, Fraser Stretton, Nottingham University Business School, Loughborough College, and lead partner the University of Derby.

Thanks to the new partnership, Hardy Signs will enjoy exposure from Generation Next’s multitude of channels and be able to participate in events run by the organisation for its members.

Generation Next’s array of networking events and educational workshops are spearheaded by local businesses and advisers and are targeted toward developing people’s corporate skillset.

54 per cent of the Hardy Signs workforce are in the 18 to 35 age bracket and are therefore classed as young professionals.

Hardy Signs has also agreed to sponsor the Community Award at Generation Next’s inaugural awards ceremony, which will be hosted virtually on July 16, 2021.

Generation Next head Lucy Robinson, also East Midlands Chamber director of resources, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Hardy Signs to Generation Next as a partner. The company has an award-winning reputation in our region and beyond for its innovative signage solutions.

“The team at Hardy Signs is passionate about giving young talent in our region the tools to succeed and it’s already been great working with marketing manager Daniel Nikolla on our Generation Next board of champions. We look forward to working with its wider team throughout the year.”

Hardy Signs managing director, Nik Hardy, added: “Supporting Generation Next supplements the work we continue to do with apprentices and young people at Hardy Signs. In 2016, we launched the ‘Sign and Print Academy’ in partnership with Burton and South Derbyshire College. The academy trains and develops students and apprentices with all the skills they need to become ‘future sign makers.’

“I know that our team here at Hardy Signs are very excited about this partnership and are looking forward to getting even more involved.”
