Unified communications, contact centre and cyber solutions specialist, Babble, has recently announced the acquisition of Activ Technology Ltd.
The Activ deal is the second acquisition that Babble has undertaken with new private equity partner, Graphite Capital, following its investment at the end of 2020. Babble is looking to build on its rapid buy and build strategy which has delivered robust growth over the previous year.
The acquisition of the Tyneside-based business follows Babble's earlier purchase of Ultracomms, which consolidated Babble’s leadership in the Contact Centre as a Service [CCaaS] market and saw Babble Contact double in size.
Babble already works with over 2,000 organisations in a vast array of sectors, including finance, health, education, travel, accommodation, and public services. It aids businesses in such industries by sourcing and deploying the gold standard in cloud solutions to deliver greater efficiency, increased customer engagement and higher profitability.
Babble chief executive, Matt Parker, commented: “We are delighted to have completed the purchase of Activ, which marks a fantastic opportunity for us. The people and talent within Activ will allow us to better achieve our ambitions.
“This year we expect to complete more acquisitions as we continue to seek innovative businesses that think the same way as us, in order to both grow the capabilities we can provide to our customers and fill our business with the best people in the industry.”
Activ managing director, Ian Gillespie, added: “Joining Babble is an exciting step for Activ. They’re incredibly ambitious and will continue to provide the best technology and expertise to our customers across the UK.”
