Teresa Clark, founder of The Wellness Revolution, will deliver a webinar exclusively for Leaders Council members and their colleagues.
The webinar will take place on on Thursday 23rd Feb at 12pm. The title is ‘Cultivating a culture of wellbeing.’
Each month, we host a webinar with a different leadership expert to help members hone their own skills or introduce new concepts to their colleagues. Teresa Clark is a public speaker, facilitator and resilience expert who has experienced deep personal tragedy and has used this experience to guide others.
In 2006, Clark fell asleep at the wheel and crashed her car, which resulted in the death of three of her friends. She lost 6.5 pints of blood and nearly had to have both legs amputated but the physical pain was dwarfed by the sense of guilt and psychological scarring. Clark was sentenced to four years in prison for three counts of causing death by dangerous driving. ‘I wanted to with every fibre of my being,’ she said. ‘I wanted justice for the families. As far as I was concerned, they could have locked me up for life and I wouldn’t have fought it.’
What Clark didn’t know at the time was that this experience was the beginning of a profound journey that would change her life in ways she could not have imagined. She promised herself she would live every day of her life in honour of her friends. It was this promise that got her through her darkest moments.
Now, more than sixteen years on, Clark dedicates her life to helping people who are suffering with mental health issues. She draws on first hand experience and years of study to deliver ‘wellbeing programs, provide consultancy, workshops, keynote speeches and training programmes to help businesses create more positive, supportive cultures that enhance employee wellbeing.’
She has worked within mental health for the NHS, the charity sector and the criminal justice system, ‘has consulted at local and national levels and led cultural change across organisations through the design and development of award-winning programmes and services.’
Clark’s Leaders Council webinar will focus on teaching leaders how to support the health and wellbeing of their employees. If you’d like to take part, you can register here:
