Lancashire consultancy firm The Leith Group has secured a strategic partnership with Barcelona headquartered Think Tank, CREA IDEA LAB.

With its head office in Barcelona and further facilities in Dublin and Dubai, CREA IDEA LAB is a global Think Tank and Smart Tech consultancy for advanced smart cities. It has its own R&D department and start-up incubator where innovative companies are supported to develop solutions for the Smart City market. It is also a proud member of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities [EIP-SCC], EU AI Alliance, the IoT Catalan Alliance of the Catalonian Government and the Chamber of Commerce Brazil - Catalonia.

As part of the strategic partnership The Leith Group will provide its offices in Lancashire and London as CREA IDEA LAB’s UK base.

The Leith Group is a boutique property company and Export Champion, providing specialist advice across all aspects of asset management, town and country planning and property investment, with projects and clients across the UK and overseas.

Paul Kallee-Grover, Leith’s Group Planning Director sits in CREA IDEA LAB’s Expert Circle and is a founder of CREA IDEA LAB latest initiative, Virtual Future City. Seeing a creative and dynamic synergy between the two companies, Paul introduced the two businesses and facilitated the opportunity for The Leith Group’s COO, Shan Dassanaike, to build a strategic partnership that further strengthens both businesses in the global arena.

As the partnership moves forward, Shan will be supporting the CREA IDEA LAB board in the role as their Chief Global Operations Officer, responsible for developing and overseeing the Sales and Operational Strategy for the CREA IDEA LAB business.

Dr Katerina Zalamova [pictured], CEO and Head of Strategy at CREA IDEA LAB commented: “Strategic partnerships in national markets are key to our business helping us understand and adapt to the local culture. This knowledge is fundamental for the successful deployment of smart cities projects which is our core business. We are looking forward to unlocking the commercial opportunities that partnership with the Leith Group will bring to us on the global stage while working together to accelerate the city digital transformation of our clients.”

Shan Dassanaike said: “It's a very exciting time for The Leith Group, and I’m honoured to be invited to join the CREA IDEA LAB leadership team and Expert Panel. Thanks to this partnership, our clients can expand their strategic visions, unlocking new business models through a wider understanding of how their businesses can integrate into the smart cities ecosystems.”
