English Veterans Awards CIC has announced that Strongmind Resiliency Training will feature as a sponsor at the English Veterans Awards for 2022.
In 2021, Strongmind Resiliency Training director, Richard Dorney MBE [pictured], was handed a Lifetime Achievement Award at the English Veterans Awards. Strongmind, a specialist provider of mental health awareness, resilience and trauma management, is a veteran-owned organisation with 50 per cent of its employees and associate trainers coming from the Armed Forces community.
After experiencing a fantastic evening at the 2021 awards showpiece, Dorney and his senior leadership team took the decision to take Strongmind on board as a sponsor for this year’s awards and continue to promote the achievements of Armed Forces veterans.
Strongmind director, Richard Dorney MBE, commented: “Collectively, we have over 200 years of service and our admin team is comprised of the spouses of serving military personnel or veterans. We have an in-depth understanding of the needs of the service community and of transition from the Armed Forces. We know that most veterans find their feet after service and do well, so we wanted to dispel some of the inaccurate and negative stereotyping and to promote and celebrate some of the immense achievements of our Armed Forces veterans, hence this sponsorship.
“At Strongmind, we work with those in the toughest jobs to help them understand and mitigate the risks to their mental health. We are proud to support our police and emergency services and our NHS. We are a specialist provider to the Government Campus to help support the civil service and we work to help organisations stay strong in the face of adversity.”
