As a member of the Export Champion Community, The Leith Group has been working closely with overseas investors and businesses to attract investment into the UK. Leith’s COO, Shan Dassanaike, and their Asia Investment Manager, Rina Wu Sowler, have recently been exploring opportunities that will support the UK’s agricultural sector.
Shan was recently appointed by a Chinese investor to advise on an opportunity which would inject a significant amount of capital into the growth of a UK-based manufacturing company, which currently exports agricultural mineral products to over 65 countries worldwide.
As well as advising on mergers and acquisitions, Shan has also provided clients with additional management consultancy services at board level, with a particular focus on helping clients strengthen their sales and operational effectiveness. This has been vital in ensuring that the benefits of foreign investment into UK businesses are protected and maximised over the medium to long term.
The success of this service has led The Leith Group towards launching an additional arm of its business, focusing on bespoke management consultancy.

The Leith Group are currently working on Foreign Direct Investment opportunities in Sri Lanka, China, India and Europe, and are focusing on a number of sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure, real estate and green energy.
