Rokbak raises £3,000 for charity

Rokbak has proudly donated £3,000 which will be equally shared across its three partner charities, CHAS [Children’s Hospices Across Scotland], Chris’s House and St Andrew’s Hospice.

The funds were raised through a number of charity events including a Christmas fayre held in December 2021 for on-site Rokbak employees. The event consisted of a bakery sale, merchandise stalls, raffles, and sales of festive food.

With £3,000 raised in total through the various initiatives, a cheque for £1,000 was donated to each partner charity.

All three partner charities were handpicked by Rokbak employees. The funds will go toward helping CHAS continue to provide full family support service for babies, children, and young people with life-shortening conditions; Chris’s House in continuing to provide help and intervention around suicide; and St Andrew’s Hospice in providing palliative care to those with life-threatening illnesses.

Paul Douglas, managing director of Rokbak, commented: “Our partner charities are close to our hearts, as our employees handpicked each of them. They truly deserve special recognition and support for their life-changing work, and, as part of our commitment to the local community, all our charities are all within the North Lanarkshire area.

“We are proud to say our donations are going to great causes to help make a difference. In 2022, we hope to keep up this momentum and have more events like this to continue to support our local charities and community.”
