Rivertrace Ltd has announced the launch of a new, web-based calibration portal developed in conjunction with development partner Intellore.
The new system will allow for transparency of compliance and inspection paperwork related to Rivertrace's water monitoring equipment.
The portal will be accessible through desktop and mobile browsers and is free-to-access. It is hosted on the Amazon Web Services cloud and will enable Rivertrace’s cohort of staff, customers, original equipment manufacturers, and agents to access important information relating to Rivertrace’s monitoring product range, from calibration forms to product manuals and certification documents.
Rivertrace’s operations director, Martin Saunders, commented: “This is an important step in our on-going digital offering to our customers. As a company, we are embracing digital transformation and we want to pass on the benefits to our global customer base. This platform will allow us to explore further advantages to our customers and make accessing information simple and intuitive.”
When registered on the portal, users are able to enter the IMO number of any vessel which has Rivertrace monitoring equipment onboard and track its movement and its estimated time of arrival at its next port call, rendering it a simple process to mobilise agents to carry out calibration checks on equipment when needed.
The system is designed to send email reminders to Rivertrace and monitoring equipment users when re-calibration checks are required, in order to make the process smoother.
All parts, customer information and serial numbers are integrated with Rivertrace’s Manufacturing Planning system to allow for seamless provision of all the information required for calibration.
Application Programming Interface integrations also allow for transactions to be automated and ensure that accurate and valid information is easy to find.
