On June 4, specialist industrial services provider Rainham Industrial Services announced that they had been awarded an RoSPA Gold Medal Award for the fourth consecutive year.
RoSPA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, is a risk management charity that aims to prevent accidents "at work and beyond". It was founded more than 100 years ago.
RoSPA Gold Medal Awards are given to companies who meet consistent standards for health and safety over an extended period of time.
According to Rainham Industrial Services, the award is "based on evidence that confirms [the firm] talks about health and safety"as well as "[putting] it into practice".
On receiving the award, CEO Tim McCarthy said health and safety was "ingrained" in the company culture.
"I wish it to be acknowledged that it is the fabulous work of our Health and Safety Division which fosters and sustains this culture through hard work, dedication and an absolute belief in what they do and why they do it."
