Leading racing-sportscar manufacturer, Radical Sportscars, has showcased its highest performing global dealerships at its 2020 Dealer of the Year Awards.
The constructor, based in Cambridgeshire, is represented worldwide by a network of 31 dealers based in 22 different countries.
The Dealer of the Year Awards rounds off one of the business’ busiest and most successful years despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which also saw the new SR3 XX and SR10 models of car join its array of products.
Among the successful Radical dealerships worldwide at the awards showpiece, Radical Arizona was awarded Dealer of the Year for the Americas, while Radical Korea secured the Dealer of the Year title in the Asia-Pacific region and Radical Romania scooped the award for Europe and the Middle East.
Dan Redpath, Radical Sportscars’ global sales director, said: “The Radical Sportscars Dealer of the Year accolade represents the zenith of standards in our dealer network, and the winning partners should be extremely proud of their achievements.
“Although the industry experienced challenging trading conditions in 2020, the launches of the SR3 XX and SR10 proved highly popular with both Radical Sportscars’ loyal customer base and new-to-brand customers alike.
“I would like to extend my personal thanks and appreciation to Jason Plotke and the team from Radical Arizona, Jaewoo Kim and the team from Radical Korea, and Andrea Fogliazzi and the team from Radical Romania.
“Our global dealer network as well as our product line-up is the strongest it has ever been, and 2021 is set to be an exciting year for the brand.”
The new APEX Motor Club operated by Radical Arizona was awarded Dealer of the Year in the Americas, Radical’s largest market, where it is represented by 11 dealers in total based across North America and the Caribbean. The APEX Motor Club has its own 2.27-mile racetrack which is due to be extended to 4.2 miles this year.
South Korea’s Radical Sportscars importer, MotorKlasse, took the Asia-Pacific award, and represents the Radical brand in one of the company’s fastest-growing regions. Based in the South Korean capital of Seoul, the premium motorsport equipment and vehicle preparation business also organises the Radical Cup Korea tournament, which was held over eight two-day rounds in 2020 at three different circuits across the country.
Meanwhile, Europe and Middle East Dealer of the Year winners Radical Romania remarkably took the title despite only launching in October 2020.
Represented by Bucharest-based SMART DRIVING, Radical Romania is the Radical brand’s first business venture in the Balkans region, and boasts four entry-level SR1 model cars available for clients to lease for track days and racing.
Radical Romania has also launched its own RLR Radical Sprint Cup eSports championship, which is currently being carried out on the iRacing platform that was first launched in the early part of 2020 to enable drivers to compete from home during the Covid-19 lockdown. The debut season of the Radical Romanian Cup, which will be set back on the physical racing track, is set to follow soon.
