QHi Group Ltd, a Harpenden-based global specialist in thermal monitoring of electrical infrastructure, has been honoured with the receipt of a 2020 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
The accolade was in recognition of the firm’s excellence in marketing internationally and its globally leading Exertherm system which monitors mission critical electrical infrastructure and helps detect possible faults ahead of a system failure.
The award, among the most prestigious business awards available in the UK, is the latest string to be added to QHi Group’s already impressive bow, which includes being named in The Sunday Times' Tech Track 100 and SME Export Track 100 in the year 2019. The firm will be able to make use of the Queen’s Awards emblem on all of its outlets for the next five years.
QHi Group founder and CEO Ross Kennedy commented: “To succeed globally as a small private company with a disruptive technology product, requires immense effort and dedication to overcome huge challenges, and this award recognises the quality of both our products, and our incredible staff.”
Kennedy was right to pay tribute to both personnel and product for the firm’s achievements, for the Exertherm system is well-known among and specified by some of the leading blue-chip companies across numerous sectors.
The business will have the opportunity to celebrate its award win at a royal reception held at Buckingham Palace in the summer, where all Queen’s Awards winners will be invited to attend.
