Lincoln Minster School has been shortlisted for the Independent Schools of the Year 2021 award for Community Outreach.
Independent Schools of the Year is an awards programme run by Independent School Parent magazine, designed to showcase the successes of independent schools every year.
The Community Outreach award is one of 24 different categories that schools can enter, which reflect the diversity of life as a student in the independent education sector.
Announcing that they had been shortlisted, Lincoln Minster School said in a statement on LinkedIn: “We are very proud to have been shortlisted for an Independent Schools of the Year award in 2021 for Community Outreach.
“Back in the dark days of the first lockdown, our Prep School pupils reached out to their compatriots at our partner school in China with a request for much needed personal protective equipment [PPE]. Days later, 5000 masks arrived at Lincoln Minster School, and we shared them with care homes across the city of Lincoln. This was a wonderful act of compassion that helped many of our city's vulnerable residents.”
The successful schools will be revealed at the Independent Schools of the Year 2021 awards ceremony in the autumn, with the winners, finalists and commended schools presented with specially commissioned rosettes and supporting collateral to use across their channels in celebration of their successes. Winning schools will also be awarded with a coveted Independent Schools of the Year trophy.
Everybody at The Leaders Council would like to wish Lincoln Minster School the very best of luck!
