AMS helps celebrate Edinburgh
The Edinburgh-based design and build experts have announced that they will be sponsoring a series of online lectures by Edinburgh World Heritage. The talks ‘will explore how the city of Edinburgh has inspired many great writers and artists’.
AMS, who are led by Stephen Martin, said that the subject is ‘close to our hearts.’
The AMS-sponsored talks will include three Zoom lectures. The first, ‘Edinburgh is a mad god’s dream’ will discuss the city’s literature with guests including Scottish crime writer Ian Rankin, and Director of Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature Trust Ali Bowden.
The Wythenshawe Forum Trust undergo valuable training
Members of The Wythenshawe Forum Trust have undergone Visual Impairment Awareness Training in support of the Henshaws Pathway to Wellbeing programme.
The programme is run by Henshaws, a charity that helps people living with sight loss and other disabilities, reducing social isolation and increasing independence.
The Forum centre, which is based in Manchester and led by CEO Eddie Flanagan, offers a range of services for the community and businesses, including employment and training, library services, childcare, leisure, events, health and wellbeing.
Spirotech help leading sugar producer
David and Russell Gadsby’s Cambridgeshire-based international design and manufacturing firm Spirotech have announced the successful completion of a soda ash system upgrade for a leading sugar producer.
The upgrade will improve the existing effluent treatment plant. Given the brief to ‘replace the existing soda ash silo and screw conveyor which feeds the client’s soda ash make up tank’, Spirotech were able to design and manufacture a single storage silo in record time for the reception and bulk storage of silo ash.
Commenting on the successful completion, Spirotech said:
‘Our team of designers, engineers and installers are used to working to tight deadlines and to this end Spirotech has developed its ‘rapid build’ program to ensure that critical deadlines are met. This particular project was completed to coincide with the clients seasonal sugar campaign and was designed, manufactured, delivered and installed in 12 weeks.’
