Kings Hill School, a Community Primary School in West Malling, Kent, has made great strides in 2021 having achieved the Primary Science Quality Mark.
Unlike other quality marks, the Primary Science Quality Mark is a yearlong CPD programme which focuses on developing effective, confident science leadership for whole school impact on science teaching and learning.
Kings Hill School headteacher, Alice Early, commented: “We are delighted to achieve the Primary Science Quality Mark. At Kings Hill School, our Science leaders have worked hard to ensure that there is a high quality science curriculum and that children develop the knowledge and skills that they need to succeed in the subject.”
Back in 2017, Kings Hill School worked in collaboration with Canterbury Christ Church University on the publication of Action Research. Following the awarding of the Primary Science Quality Mark, Helen Ward, Director of the STEMHUB for Canterbury Christ Church University, reached out to congratulate Kings Hill School on the achievement.
She said: “Congratulations to the hard-working team at Kings Hill School, who have been outstanding throughout the process.”
