Israeli premier Netanyahu tests negative for Covid-19

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has tested negative for coronavirus after going into self-isolation.

Netanyahu and a number of his staff chose to self-quarantine after an aide returned a positive diagnosis over the weekend.

Israeli diplomat and spokesman Ofir Gendelman tweeted that Netanyahu, his family and staff all returned negative results, adding that the prime minister will remain in self-isolation as per medical advice.

According to CNBC, Israel has 4,695 confirmed cases and 16 deaths.
