With the furlough scheme due to end in September and many individuals still facing uncertainty over their employment status, social enterprise IncomeMax has advised that those affected could be entitled to up to £25,000 extra annual income, which they can get help acquiring through its free services.
IncomeMax says that individuals are missing out on billions of pounds of money that they are entitled to but unaware of, including benefits, grants and help paying bills and debts.
The Big Issue also reports that depending on individual circumstances, people who are facing financial difficulties could be entitled to all manner of income support such as universal credit, council tax support and money towards household bills. Some may also be eligible for funds towards children, disabilities and caring responsibilities.
IncomeMax, which has been helping people since 2009, is a social enterprise established to help people access the loans grants and benefits that they may not know about but are eligible for.
To help those in need during the Covid-19 pandemic, IncomeMax has been offering free, confidential advice through its digital Bounce Back campaign which will run until August 8.
After registering, users receive a checklist that will help maximise their income and provide resources to help with personal finances. For those with additional needs, the option is open to speak to an expert and receive confidential advice online or over the phone.
IncomeMax reports that eight in ten people who get in touch discover that they are entitled to free money. Indeed, the social enterprise has already helped find £30 million in new income for those who have used its services.
