May 2021 has seen medical device developer Vitalograph look to the future with the launch of three innovative new products into the UK market.
Two of the products launched by the global leader in respiratory diagnostics is the next-generation Vitalograph Pneumotrac™ Spirometer and the new Spirotrac® 6 PC software used in conjunction with it, which together will serve as a powerful tool for respiratory diagnosis of both adults and children.
The technology is capable of capturing reliable test results immediately and is extremely accurate and stable over time. It is also able to connect to personal computers via USB, delivering results through the new and improved Spirotrac 6 software and connecting easily to Electronic Medical Records systems to help streamline clinical workflow.
The Spirotrac 6 software is in full compliance with 2019 ATS/ERS spirometry guidelines and meets international guidelines on accuracy and reporting. The software includes a 12-lead electrocardiogram option with detailed results based on the University of Glasgow’s interpretation algorithm.
The software also comes with a brand-new user interface which provides advanced quality control feedback for rapid and easy testing.
The third next-generation piece of technology launched by the firm this months is the Alpha Desktop Spirometer, which encompasses proven, accurate and robust Fleisch Flow Technology with a modern, intuitive user-friendly interface to deliver our customers a powerful solution for testing in-clinic and on the go.
With changes suggested by the ATS/ERS 2019 standardisation of spirometry update technical statement incorporated into it, alongside an improved and faster integrated thermal printer, users can now go mobile with their spirometry clinics.
