EasyJet looks to reopen three quarters of routes by August

Published by Ross Hindle on June 2nd 2020, 4:04pm

Budget airline EasyJet has announced that it hopes to resume up to 75 per cent of its routes by the end of August.

They are resuming some services in June, but as is to be expected in the face of Covid-19, the airline will be running a significantly reduced service as compared to any normal summer.

All EasyJet flights now require both customers and cabin crew to wear masks for the duration of the flight, and food is not being served.

This news comes after the firm has cut as many as 4,500 jobs.

It also faces the prospect of being ejected from the FTSE 100 this week after a crash in its share prices - something which has been mirrored by all major airlines across the world.

The airline is set to resume services in just under two weeks, from June 15.
