Creative communications agency DRP Group has been announced as the proud recipient of a 2022 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
Now in their 56th year, The Queen's Awards for Enterprise recognise business excellence across the four areas of international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity.
The awards are considered the highest accolade that can a British business can receive, and in DRP Group’s case, it reflects the incredible amount of work that the business has been doing to reduce its environmental impact.
Indeed, the company - which aligns itself with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals - became the first agency to be awarded with BS8901 certification and the first global agency to gain ISO20121 and ISO14001 accreditation. Recently, DRP Group was also awarded with an Investors in People Platinum award, as well as the Agency of the Year accolade for Sustainability in the UK’s EN Agency awards in 2021. By the end of 2022, the group also hopes to be B-Corp accredited.
DRP Group is among 232 organisations nationally to receive the honour this year, and the first in its field to receive the Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development.
CEO, Dale Parmenter told Business Live: “Winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, means so much to everyone at DRP Group, and we have been on an incredible sustainability journey for over 15 years. We have collected many awards and accreditations for our approach, so being awarded with the Queen’s Award is the icing on the cake.
“To say we do it is one thing, to be officially recognised is something else. It’s the only award which takes a holistic view of sustainability across an organisation, and this is why it's so important to us, as sustainability now sits as the umbrella in which everything is connected at DRPG”.
Everybody at The Leaders Council congratulates DRP Group on the award and wishes Dale and his team the best of luck in the next step toward making a more sustainable industry.
