Healthcare product manufacturer Direct Healthcare Solutions has announced that it has rebranded as eCura, a move which reflects the changing face of the business as its offering adjusts to changing times and client demands.
Established 12 years ago, Direct Healthcare Solutions has since cemented its position in the market as a provider of various quality healthcare products, supported by an efficient and forward-thinking service.
Some of the products it offers include moving and handling products for mobility, bathing and hygiene – which consist of ceiling hoists, height-adjustable bathroom equipment, fall detectors and more. The company has also worked with care homes, schools, hospitals, and other settings in providing its equipment, as well as carrying out the full-service maintenance, repairs and aftercare.
However, the business has moved forward a great deal in its provision since its inception in 2010. In light of this, managing director and founder James Puttick explained that the company’s senior leadership felt it was the right time for the company to revolutionise its brand in line with customer service and expectation.
Sharing the logic behind the decision to rebrand, Puttick told The Leaders Council: “After 12 years of trading, we felt it was the right time for a refresh. The business has moved on a lot since the early days, and we were in the process of taking customer feedback and did some independent research around what people thought of our business and what we offered. That informed our decision to reflect on where we’d come from and move from the old brand to the new.”
Puttick highlighted how the new name for the business, eCura, was indicative of the company’s wider ethos of caring for the individual and caring for the planet, in light of its ambition to champion sustainability in its work.
“The word ‘cura’ the is Latin for ‘care’. We're also pushing the business onto quite a sustainable footing as well. So, we've got the name ‘eCura’ from that, which is obviously linking into the eco-friendly side of the business as well.
“We feel the new name is representative of the future direction of the business. In terms of the feedback that we had from clients, we received a lot of responses to say that the business and the individuals representing it were ‘responsive’, ‘reliable’, and ‘grounded’. We tried also to build on that and use it as a personality or face for the business. We want to show we are this friendly, innovative, specialist provider and the products we offer are sustainable, trustworthy and respected. These are the key elements we’re trying to portray through the rebrand as well.”
