Architecture and design magazine Dezeen has revealed its longlist for the Emerging Architecture Studio of the Year accolade at the 2022 Dezeen Awards, with architects Manea Kella making the cut.
The longlist features 126 of the world’s best emerging and established studios, hailing from 38 countries.
Dezeen Awards is Dezeen magazine’s annual awards programme, with the 2022 edition coming as its fifth year of running.
The awards seek to recognise the world's best architecture, both interiors and design, as well as the studios and the individual architects and designers producing the most outstanding work.
Organised by Dezeen, the world's most popular and influential architecture and design website and magazine, the awards serve as the benchmark for international design excellence. A Dezeen award win therefore serves as the ultimate accolade for architects and designers everywhere to aspire towards.
Based in London, UK, Manea Kella is an architecture studio established in 2017 by Adrian Manea and Elena Kella. Its projects span the UK and internationally, ranging from the hospitality industry right through to the residential and services sectors.
Manea Kella’s work is underpinned by the mantra that thoughtful architecture and design is of benefit to society and can result in positive social change.
The next stage of the Dezeen Awards for this year will see all longlisted entries assessed by a panel of 93 industry-leading professionals, upon which sit architects Tom Kundig and Tosin Oshinowo and London Craft Week head of programme and content, Naomi Davenport.
The judges will whittle the longlisted candidates down to the final shortlist, which will be confirmed in September. A final round of judging will then take place to determine the winners, who will be confirmed at the Dezeen Awards 2022 showpiece in November.
