Burnley-based CPack Ltd have announced the release of their new machine, The Gift Wrap Semi Auto, which is designed to cater for a variety of product sizes and is ideal for short production runs.
Commenting on the news, director of The Leaders Council, Craig Wilmann said, ‘In an era where the papers are filled with stories of economic strife, it’s inspiring to see an organisation like CPack getting on with the crucial business of innovation. It’s easy to forget that it’s not all bad news out there and CPack have demonstrated this with yet another stride forward for the gift-wrapping industry.’
Writing in The Parliamentary Review, managing director Charles Reilly spoke of his pride at CPack’s range of products:
‘As a British manufacturer, Cpack brand machines are designed and built in our factory in the North West, and from our home town we export industry-leading machines globally.
‘Our products can be found from Vancouver to Vladivostok and as far south as New Zealand. We span the globe with our machines systems.’
The new machine uses ultrasonic sensors to scan a box and automatically cut the paper to size. It then seals the seams with a glue gun and gives the box a hand-wrapped finish.
Other features of the Giftwrap Semi Auto System include a touchscreen with computer-based system, single phase electrical supply, automatic scrap deflector and six-roll paper selection.
CPack is of course about far more than just gift wrapping. Only last month they were commended by a Scottish pie company for their Model Major machines, which can wrap up to 500 pies an hour.
As Charles Reilly explained in The Parliamentary Review, ‘We cater to all business sizes, with a variety of machines for all budgets. From entry level “Pizza Capper”, designed to wrap cook-at-home pizzas in a film for small shops and delis, to our “Rotor-Pack 5000” which is capable of wrapping milk at up to 40 collations per minute. We also have a wide variety of eco-friendly shrink wrappers, skin packaging and over wrappers to offer.’
