Former chancellor Rishi Sunak once again secured the most votes in the second round of voting in the Tory leadership contest, with attorney general Suella Braverman the latest to drop out of contention.
Sunak received 101 votes, while trade minister Penny Mordaunt remained second on 83 to close the gap on the ex-chancellor.
Foreign secretary Liz Truss - who has been urging the right to rally behind her and promising tax cuts as part of her bid for the leadership - was again third, this time with 64 votes, a gain of 14 on her first round total.
Equalities minister Kemi Badenoch came fourth in round two with 49 votes, while Tom Tugendhat picked up 32 votes to remain in the running.
Suella Braverman (pictured), the ex-barrister who replaced Sir Geoffrey Cox as attorney general in 2020, finished bottom after receiving 27 votes in total, and drops out.
A senior member of Truss' campaign has called on Braverman's supporters and those of Badenoch to throw their weight behind the foreign secretary, to strengthen her chances of making the final two.
The next round of voting in the contest will take place on Monday (July 18), with the 1922 Committee aiming to have narrowed candidates down to a final two by next Thursday (July 21).
The voting will then be extended to the 160,000 grassroots members of the Conservative party, before the next Tory leader and prime minister of the United Kingdom will be announced on September 5.
Prior to the next round of voting, the five remaining candidates will take part in a series of TV debates to further set out their pitches for the leadership.
