Reaffirming its commitment to sustainable operations, out-of-home [OOH] media specialist Talon Outdoor has joined the IPA Media Climate Action Charter.
The charter provides media agencies with a plethora of resources providing guidance on how to transition toward net-zero.
Talon has acknowledged that as the advertising industry looks to build back better from the Covid-19 pandemic, sector operators have a duty to take meaningful action on climate change to avert a looming disaster.
The leading OOH media agency has therefore taken the decision to appoint its own “sustainability squad”, comprised of members of different departments across the overall business. Its role is to ensure that Talon adheres to the highest possible standards of social and environmental responsibility and impact and aim to become Ad Net Zero certificate ambassadors and forge partnerships with sustainable organisations.
In a statement confirming its signing up to the charter, Talon announced: “At Talon, we take our responsibility for the planet very seriously and by joining the IPA Media Climate Action Charter we hope to play our part in accelerating the journey to a zero-carbon reality within the media industry.”
