Jo Churchill, the parliamentary under secretary of state for prevention, public health and primary care, has confirmed that private and NHS dentists will remain open during the second national lockdown.
‘All health and social care provision, defined as activity registered with the CQC, or other healthcare regulator eg. General Optical Council, General Dental Council, will continue,’ the minister confirmed, ‘This will include all aspects of primary care, including dentistry and opticians.’
The news will come as a relief for dentists and dental patients throughout the country.
