Jo Churchill, the parliamentary under secretary of state for prevention, public health and primary care, has confirmed that private and NHS dentists will remain open during the second national lockdown.

‘All health and social care provision, defined as activity registered with the CQC, or other healthcare regulator eg. General Optical Council, General Dental Council, will continue,’ the minister confirmed, ‘This will include all aspects of primary care, including dentistry and opticians.’

The news will come as a relief for dentists and dental patients throughout the country.

To that end, Bradley Thornton the principal dentist at Leeds-based Ivory Dental has reiterated his commitment to providing all patients with the best possible service.

My vision has always been to put together a team of the most talented dental professionals to provide a comprehensive dental experience and unsurpassed care under one roof,’ he explained.

‘I also wanted to be able to meet the needs of every single patient who walks through our doors – whether through routine dentistry or a full smile makeover.

‘At Ivory, you’ll find the full range of dental services from hygiene and checkups to cosmetic treatments like straightening, whitening, veneers, implants, crowns, composite bonding and more.

‘All this is provided in a warm and welcoming environment by a dedicated team with a shared commitment to delivering first-class results every time.’
