Applications for the Royal College of Podiatry’s [RCPod] annual Leadership Programme are currently open, with a deadline of February 4 set to register one’s interest for the 2022 course.
Facilitated by Richard Shorney of Real Healthcare Solutions Ltd and RCPod project officer, Joanne Casey, the programme will be held over June 13 and June 14, as well as on September 16.
Targeted toward inspiring the future leaders in podiatry, it will explore key questions around the profession such as where podiatry fits into a healthcare environment that is in a constant state of flux, leadership theories, how to work well with colleagues and understand personality traits, how to motivate and influence, and how to manage change, among other themes.
Michelle Scott, the Chairman of the Royal College of Podiatry, commented: “This programme aims to provide future leaders with an educational programme that fulfils their expectations from both an operational and strategic perspective.
“In addition, the leader will develop their leadership toolkit throughout the Leadership Programme and be able to apply the newly acquired skills in practice.
“Upon completion of the programme, the leader will be invited to join the Leadership Alumnus alongside the previous leadership cohorts.”
Those wishing to apply for the Leadership Programme are required to complete a 250-word expression of interest, entitled: 'How this leadership programme will assist my development in the podiatry profession'.
The expression of interest is to be sent together with the applicant’s CV by email to courses@rcpod.org.uk no later than Friday February 4, 2022.
