Aonyx director Richard Reid said that he was "proud" of the work the firm had undertaken over the past 18 months, despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on businesses around the UK.
Based in Watford, Aonyx designs and installs audio visual and home automation systems for both residential and commercial properties across the UK and overseas, working with both individuals and property developers.
Able to service cottages, penthouses, airports and super-yachts, Aonyx always aims to be at the sharp end of the smart home revolution, combining outstanding service with dedicated aftercare.
Given the personal nature of its service, the COVID-19 pandemic created its fair share of challenges, but given the portfolio of work the firm has managed to complete since last March, it has fair to say that it has shown plenty of ability to adjust and adapt.
Operating for the past decade, Aonyx has achieved accreditations for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 as well as NSI Gold and Achilles, working with prestigious clients such as London City Airport for a number of years.
At the airport, Aonyx maintain the flight information displays and advertising screens, while also building the first ever video check-in wall, a 35-metre long structure that comprises 56 screens.
Elsewhere, Aonyx completed work on the Elephant Park complex in South London earlier this year, delivering the data and communications package for the first section of the third phase of the development.
Another similar project saw Aonyx work on The Dumont, a set of luxury apartments on the Albert Embankment, which the firm kitted out with a Control4-powered entertainment area.
Of that particular project, Reid said: “The top end of London’s residential real estate market is in a bit of an arms race to provide high-net worth individuals with customised living experiences, and centrepiece amenities like this incredible movie theatre make a statement to potential buyers.
“Every detail matters here, from colour-matched custom-painted grilles for the Triad Platinum Series in-ceiling speakers to the hand-built projector enclosure. The most important thing, however, is that the room and system is always reliable and easy to use, and that’s why we chose to install Control4 over other automation and media distribution systems.”
Aonyx is Control4’s leading system integrator in the UK and EMEA region, and was awarded the Control4 dealer of the year between 2015 and 2020.
In 2021, Aonyx was awarded Top Volume Dealer for Europe.
Despite the number of projects Aonyx had on the go, Reid and the team also found time to relaunch the company website - www.aonyx.co.uk - in order to better showcases all of the projects it works on, both on the residential and commercial side.
To celebrate the firm's work over the past 18 months, Reid shared a video chronicling the projects it had completed and congratulated the team on their hard work.
"We are all living and working through extraordinary times and have all faced many challenges, so I am extremely proud and humbled by our teams hard work and determination in completing some truly special projects over the last 18 months," he wrote.
