Antiques on High looks forward to April 12 reopening

Following the publication of the government’s roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions, award-winning antique retailer and craft store, Antiques on High, is preparing to resume operations on April 12, 2021.

The original Antiques on High store was founded in Oxford in the year 1997 and has established itself as the city’s premier award-winning antiques and crafts centre. Current owner and managing director, Vincent Page, bought the Oxford store in the summer of 2017 before opening another Antiques on High premises in Sidmouth, Devon, in 2018.

Although the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been a significant one for the business, it has not deterred Page’s hopes of expansion. Since the start of the health crisis, the company has followed through on plans to open a third store by readying a new Lake District premises, in anticipation of the reopening of the economy over the course of the spring and summer of this year.

After prime minister Boris Johnson unveiled his government’s plans for the gradual removal of Covid-19 restrictions, Antiques on High is readying for a full reopening of the business on April 12.

Page said: “If all works according to the government’s schedule, I am pleased to say we will be back open again on April 12. We have already implemented a number of in-house updates to make the premises safe for everyone, and this will include our new store which will be opened in the Lake District.

“Having three premises based across the country will provide dealers with a unique and unrivalled opportunity to house their stock in three leading high street locations and it is something we are very excited about.”
