So often it is said that Christmas is a time of giving and sharing with those around us, but that spirit of sharing should not be limited to those that we love and care for, nor merely be restricted to the latter weeks of the year.
Since 1999, Southampton-based business SNC Installations has been supplying and installing storage solutions for every kind of business, from racking systems, shop equipment and pallet racking to cantilever racking and anti-collapse meshes. Throughout an atypical year, the company has been playing its part to keep the Christmas spirit of giving alive and well all year round, working with a handful of children’s charities such as Naomi House & Jacksplace Hospices to help them continue their work with ill and vulnerable youngsters.
Another of the charities the business has worked with over 2020 is the Over The Wall organisation, which provides residential summer camps for children and their families coping with severe illnesses and conditions. As an expression of thanks for a donation of racking and installation valued at £567.60 to help safely and cleanly store toys, games, activities and medical equipment, the charity’s head of corporate partnerships Jo Cole wrote a heartfelt letter to SNC Installations for their generosity throughout the year, which has helped continue the delivery of therapeutic recreation to vulnerable children who have found themselves more isolated than ever before in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Addressing the letter to SNC Installations’ contracts manager, Nic Conduct, Cole wrote:
From all of us here at Over The Wall I am writing to thank you and SNC Installations Ltd for the donation of racking and installation valued at £567.60.
As I’m sure you know, this is on huge value to the Over The Wall Charity. The racking will ensure all the toys, games, activities and medical equipment for the children the charity supports is kept safe and clean for their use and entertainment.
This donation helps the Over The Wall team to provide ongoing delivery of therapeutic recreation to seriously ill children and their families through Camp in the Cloud (our online virtual camp) during the Covid-19 pandemic. These children and families experience isolation and hardship in their daily lives and now, more than ever, your support is so important to them.
Thank you from everyone here at Over The Wall and the families we work with."
At this time and at any time of the year, any donation, no matter how big or small, can make a huge difference on good days, difficult days and last days.
