Despite industry having faced a challenging 2021 to date, this year has proven to be a lucrative one for public safety solutions provider, Openview, which has secured three large contracts spread across the country in recent weeks.

Another of the contracts, secured with the Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association in East Scotland, will see Openview service and maintain Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers, AOVs, Dry and Wet Risers and Sprinklers at more than 200 addresses in the area.
The third of the deals struck with Wakefield and District Housing, in partnership with Kier and Wates, is a multi-million-pound award in return for the delivery of life safety and electronic security upgrades for more than six high-rise residential blocks of flats.
The works will involve delivery of a working Fire Detection and Alarm system, domestic smoke and heat detection, sprinkler system, ventilation, fire doors, passive fire protection, access control and video door entry. These will see the installation of more than 240 cameras, 350 door entry apartment stations, 2800 Aico Part 6 devices, 820 Apollo devices, 950 fire doors and 350 fire dampers.
Hailing the success of the business in striking the deals, Openview group managing director, Mark Ingleson, commented: “These contracts not only demonstrate our wide skill set, but will also mean recruiting for additional roles, expanding our sub-contractor base as well as great news for our key supply chain.
“It is incredible news for the whole business, and I must extend a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who has helped make this possible and will help deliver on these obligations.”
