Career Overview
Matthew Scott was Elected as the Conservative candidate for Kent’s Police and Crime Commissioner in May 2016, having previously Worked in the office of Sir David Evennett MP. In addition to his Role as PCC, Scott also serves at the Portfolio holder for mental health for the National Association of PCCs and is one of their Three Brexit spokesmen as well as serving as the Chairman of BlueLight Commercial, a company that supports Police Forces’ commercial activity in an effort to save taxpayers’ money. Mr. Scott lives in Swanley with his wife and two young children. He is a fan of cricket and football, enjoys real ale and is a keen musician, having played in covers bands across the South East for a number of years.In August 2020, Matthew Scott appeared on a Leaders Council of Great Britain & Northern Ireland podcast, discussing the importance of leadership and the impact it has had on his career to date.
